1. Agreement and app license
These terms govern use of the Nativ website and related support services. If you download Nativ through Apple’s Mac App Store, your license to the app is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement unless a custom license is presented in App Store Connect.
2. What Nativ does
Nativ provides limited, allowlisted Mac diagnostics, explanations, and guided repair actions. It is not a monitoring service, emergency service, managed IT provider, or substitute for professional support when a device contains critical data or has hardware damage.
Results can be unavailable, incomplete, or incorrect. Review each proposed action, maintain appropriate backups, and use your judgment before approving a change.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use Nativ to:
- access or change a Mac without the owner’s authorization;
- bypass security controls or interfere with the service;
- reverse engineer the app except where applicable law permits it;
- distribute malicious, unlawful, or misleading content; or
- misrepresent Nativ as remote technical support operated by Apple.
4. Ownership and third-party components
Nativ and its original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses and notices. Those notices are included with the application.
5. Offline operation
The current app operates locally and does not require a Nativ backend, account, telemetry service, or paid online feature. Files you export are controlled by you after they leave the app.
6. Availability and updates
Nativ may receive fixes, security updates, and compatibility changes. Continued availability of a particular diagnostic or repair is not guaranteed. Mac App Store versions are updated through Apple’s distribution systems.
7. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nativ is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Nativ developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the website, services, or app. Any limitation is subject to rights and remedies that cannot legally be limited.
9. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as Nativ changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date. Verified legal and support contact details must be added here before public release.
