1. Overview
Nativ is a macOS troubleshooting utility. It does not require an account, display advertising, or track activity across apps or websites. Diagnostic processing happens on the Mac. The app has no telemetry or backend connection.
Nativ is the full direct-download edition. Nativ Support is the separate sandboxed App Store edition. Nativ Support performs only read-only Wi-Fi path and aggregate storage checks and does not include the 41 setting changes available in Nativ.
2. Information processed on your Mac
Nativ may process the following information locally:
- the problem category you select or describe;
- aggregate Wi-Fi radio, association, and signal-quality status—without network names, hardware addresses, passwords, scan results, or browsing history;
- aggregate startup-volume capacity—without enumerating personal files or folders;
- local printer-service status—without printer-job contents;
- allowlisted system results such as macOS version, architecture, and uptime when needed to explain a supported issue; and
- microphone audio only while you choose dictation; speech is processed on the Mac and the audio is not stored.
Nativ stores privacy-sanitized repair history locally. It records a generic problem category instead of your original free-form description and is designed not to retain Wi-Fi names, personal file paths, raw command output, or browsing activity.
3. No cloud collection
Nativ does not upload diagnostic results, usage analytics, crash telemetry, repair history, prompts, device identifiers, or account information. It does not require or create a cloud account.
4. Your choices, retention, and deletion
- You can delete individual history records or clear all local history.
- Local history remains until you delete it, remove the app’s container, or uninstall Nativ in a way that removes its data.
Because Nativ does not maintain a backend or user account, there is no server-side profile or repair history to delete.
5. Reports you export
You can export a sanitized JSON report to a location you choose. Once an exported copy leaves Nativ’s container, you control that copy and any service to which you choose to send it.
6. Children’s privacy
Nativ is a general-audience utility and is not directed specifically to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Security and policy changes
Nativ uses platform security controls and allowlisted operations intended to limit the information it can access and the actions it can perform. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
This policy may change when Nativ’s behavior or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
